I'll be honest I was a bit distracted while watching this episode but usually when people put the blame on themselves and make themselves look like the bad guy in this manner, there's a good reason for it. As a person, Finn doesn't seem like the piece of sh*t you're seeing him as.

I was just thinking that it could be a case of not saying the entire truth and distancing himself from them because he's uncovered some dangerous info and doesn't want his friends to "disappear" like certain other individuals who knew too much.

Nah, he's still the best no matter what. Hack is just a clunky-looking weirdo and the others are part of the political correctness agenda: an old woman who 'still got it', a girl with a creepy smile that needs to hide, a girl that wanted to unmask hack and is the main heroine, a black shit with an afro, a mascot hack, and Hack (whose gender you can't even recognise)... Fin is the only normal character out of them all and he is the one deserving of having that information.
